Every day, we are called upon to help others through one of the most frightening times of their lives. Every day, we are called upon to provide a sense of security and relief during chaotic and challenging situations. Every day, we are called upon to do the work that only a select few can do.
Every day, we are called to care.
In 2015 Altru Ambulance Services saw an increase of 12 percent in calls for service for a total of 8,326. We have a staff of over 60 EMS staff who work 24/7, 365 days a year to ensure that citizens in our community and beyond can rest assured and rely on emergency medical services (EMS) to help them in their hour of greatest need.
As we celebrate EMS week May 15–21, 2016, we want to also thank the surrounding EMS services who we work with on a daily basis providing lifesaving care to the residents of Grand Forks County and beyond. This is more than a job. EMS practitioners have a true calling to help and care for others and represent hope to people who are in their most critical time of need.
Altru Ambulance Services includes many caring individuals who have given up their holidays at home with family, worked many sleepless nights and given themselves fully to make sure their patients and family members are well taken care of, in often very scary and frightening situations.

Please take some time this week to recognize EMS professionals in your community who volunteer, teach CPR and take care of your loved ones when emergencies arise.
We truly are proud to be part of Altru Ambulance Services and our community.
